Melissa Carvalho recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Mental Health from Carleton University. She completed an honours thesis project that was focused on the role of cultural identity and climate-informed practices when considering food sovereignty in the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun in Mayo, Yukon. She will be working as a Research Assistant for this project.
